Makalia Brown is an LPGA Golf Professional with over 20 years in the game and more than 5 years of teaching experience. A former Division I collegiate golfer at Jackson State University, she earned All-SWAC honors and served as team captain.
Makalia is passionate about helping women fall in love with the game of golf. Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, her coaching approach blends fundamentals with real-game concepts like swing mechanics, course management, and building confidence under pressure.

Yes, and so is the case if you tried golf a year ago and lost the thread. The group is mixed-experience, all beginner-friendly. You won't be the only one starting at zero, and you won't be the only one starting over.
No. You don't need to own clubs. Bring your own if you have them. If not, club rentals are available at Grand Prairie for $10 per session.
Life happens. It's totally okay to miss a session and pick back up the following week. That said, the program is designed to build week over week, so we recommend making as many as you can to get the most out of it. Please note that reschedules cannot be accommodated given demand.
Athletic wear is fine. Leggings, shorts, sneakers. No dress code. Golf Ranch isn't a country club.
Yes. Bathrooms at the range, no need to plan ahead.
